OUR TEAM

Jamie Katz

Jamie received her degree in Psychology from Pitzer College, and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy (MMFT) from the University of Southern California (USC). She was motivated to work with individuals with learning differences, based on her childhood experience with similar challenges. Jamie is deeply committed to reducing the stigma around academic challenges. In 2011, she joined The Learning Gym team in Manhattan Beach as a cognitive trainer. She worked effectively with young students and families implementing programs targeted at improving cognitive abilities such as problem-solving, reasoning, sensory motor, executive function and working memory. Jamie co-founded Brain Bridge in 2015 because she felt a strong sense of purpose and connection working in partnership with dozens of individuals and families.

Brittany Johnson

Brittany received her degree in Psychology from Oklahoma Christian University. She co-founded Brain Bridge in 2015 after realizing that a personalized and hands-on approach was necessary to support youth with learning differences. Prior to that, in 2010 she served as the Training Supervisor for The Learning Gym, a testing and training center established in 1997 dedicated to working with youth to enhance academic and work performance, attention, focus and processing speeds using mostly computer programs. She parted ways with her career in fashion when she tuned into her natural inclination and passion for working with children and families to make a real difference in my community.

Stefanie Camarena

Stefanie received her degree in Child & Family Studies from Cal State University, Los Angeles and has a background in Sign Language Interpretation. She has a background in working with families of children with ADHD, Autism and other learning disabilities. She takes pride in her ability to create and maintain strong intimate relationships with the families that she serves. She continues to be an advocate for families and children both in and out of the classroom.

Amy Primbsch

Amy has been with the Wiseburn Unified School District for over 10 years, teaching 2nd to 5th grades, as well as Reading Intervention. Previously, she spent nearly 10 years teaching within the Los Angeles Unified School District before taking valuable time off to raise her now adult children. When Amy isn’t teaching, she enjoys taking pictures, walking her dogs, drinking coffee, and spending time with her family and friends. Amy is excited to be part of the Brain Bridge family.
